Huxley College of the Environment on the Peninsula BA – Planning and Environmental Policy BS- Environmental Science
Prepare for a creative, fulfilling career in environmental studies, a field focused on the environmental well-being of the planet. Earn your bachelor's degree in environmental studies while studying and living in the diverse and exciting Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas and Puget Sound region.
Huxley College of the Environment is an internationally recognized environmental studies program. Huxley on the Peninsula provides an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to learning to become an environmental problem solver. Students learn from dynamic environmental professionals. The program emphasizes hands on learning and research.

Elementary Teacher Education, B.A.E. & Certification
If a teaching career is in your future, join Western’s Woodring College of Education’s undergraduate program in elementary teacher education. Programs are offered in Bremerton and are designed for working adults.
Earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.E.) with an academic major in Special Education and a Residency Teaching Certificate, Elementary (K-8) upon successful program completion. Students with a transferable A.A. degree from a Washington State community college, or satisfaction of Western’s General University Requirements may be eligible for admission. If you already hold a B.A. or B.S. in an approved academic major, you may apply to the post-baccalaureate program leading to the Residency Teaching Certificate, Elementary (K-8).

Educational Administration, M.Ed.
The Woodring College of Education’s Educational Administration program is designed to prepare elementary and secondary school teachers to assume the leadership role of principal or assistant principal. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates are recommended for the master's degree and/or principal certification. The program emphasizes leadership and management related to curriculum, school instruction, personnel, staff/community relations, financial and legal matters.
