The Forks Extension Site is located in Forks, Washington, 57 miles west of Port Angeles. The site offers a number of academic, continuing education, and community service courses, as well as selected professional development seminars intended for local business and professional people. A fully equipped computer lab is available for instruction in computer applications. Distance learning courses coordinated through the main campus provide additional enhanced learning opportunities for West End residents who may be place-bound because of geographic location. PE Classes will be offered by arrangement.
Classes in ECE and Addiction Studies will be available through ITV. These classes incorporate use of live, interactive connections between campus sites and may include online components.
Basic Skills and GED Prep Instruction:
Our basic skills class has open enrollment so that students may join the class anytime during the quarter. Scholarships are available to help pay class tuition.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM – 2:40 PM On-Site GED Testing Day every quarter. This class features small and large group instruction in reading, writing, mathematics and basic computer skills to prepare students for the General Education Development (GED) Test for high school equivalency or to help students transition to college level classes.

English as a Second Language/ ESL Free classes: M/W/TH 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (On-site child care available) For persons for whom English is a non-native language. Includes practice in reading, writing, speaking, listening, pronunciation and interaction skills.

Computer Application Classes

The Forks Extension will offer many classes to help students learn new skills. We offer classes for beginners as well as those who wish to expand their knowledge. Learn more about applications such as spreadsheets, and databases, learn time-saving short-cuts in word processing and create slide presentations and publications. These classes are taught in a lab format using Office 2007 software programs.
