Teaching Philosophy:

I want my students to use the tools they already have and get their hands dirty right away. As a group, we then proceed to clean and sharpen the items in their toolboxes and add new ones. I hope to both expand the scope of the projects they can take on and improve the quality of everything they do. Ultimately, my aim is to help them become self-sufficient as writers, to impress upon them the importance of respecting the writing process, and to build critical skills in reading, writing, and thinking.
