Teaching Possibilities
English. The number and type of classes vary each year, depending on the needs of GUET. Normally, you would teach English conversation and composition. In addition to teaching, you may also be asked to judge English Speaking Contests and hold seminars on American cultures.
You also are likely to have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other professors from such countries as the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, which also have faculty exchange programs with GUET.
Financial Facts
The monthly stipend is 3,500 Chinese RMB (Please consult the following website for current exchange rates
http://www.oanda.com) Our International Program assumes responsibility for your round-trip travel to and from China. Also includes the China visa application fee and Shipment of teaching materials to China (up to $100).
Housing and Meals
An on-campus, fully furnished apartment is provided by GUET. Partners are welcome to stay in the apartment as well and can teach Listening/Speaking English classes.
You will be responsible for your own meals and can either prepare them yourself or take advantage of GUET’s excellent cafeterias or nearby restaurants.
Travel Details
The nearest airport is the Guilin International Airport (in Guilin City, Guangxi). GUET will arrange for pick-up when you arrive.
