Adult Basic Skills (ABE) Program
The ABE Program provides instruction in fundamental academic and pre-occupational skills for adults with emphasis on reading, math, writing, and basic computer literacy.
The GED test is a high school equivalency exam for adults who are not enrolled in school and do not have a high school diploma. Qualifying students may prepare to take the test. Visit the GED page for more information.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Classes are provided for students whose primary language is not English. Students have the opportunity to study pronunciation, reading, writing, and speaking English.
Adult Basic Studies Programs provide instruction to help you:
- Improve your college placement test scores
- Improve basic skills before entering college
- Prepare for the GED test
- Learn to speak English or improve English skills for non-native speakers
- Obtain skills needed to get a job
