Adult Basic Skills (ABE) Program
The Basic Education for Adults (BEdA) Program provides instruction in fundamental academic and pre-occupational skills for adults with emphasis on reading, math, writing, and basic computer literacy.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) Programs provide instruction to help you:
- Improve your college placement test scores
- Improve basic skills before entering college
- Prepare for the GED test
- Learn to speak English or improve English skills for non-native speakers
- Obtain skills needed to get a job
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Classes are provided for students whose primary language is not English. Students have the opportunity to study pronunciation, reading, writing, and speaking English.
The GED test is a high school equivalency exam for adults who are not enrolled in school and do not have a high school diploma. Qualifying students may prepare to take the test. Visit the GED page for more information.
