Designed to be a one-stop-site, theWashBoard.org is a free, student-centered, online clearinghouse for Washington students seeking college scholarships. And it is advertising and spam-free.

Floyd Young Memorial Scholarship
The Kiwanis Foundation of Port Angeles is pleased and very proud to have an ongoing opportunity to honor Floyd Young, the former Academic Dean of Peninsula College.
To compete for a scholarship of $1,000 which will be awarded to one student who is beginning his or her second year at Peninsula College in the Autumn of 2012, an applicant must submit to the Scholarship Committee, Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles, PO Box 911, Port Angeles, WA 98362, the following materials postmarked on or before July 15, 2012:
- Name, mailing address (current and summer) and telephone number (current and summer).
- A statement no more than 300 words in length which addresses the student’s educational and vocational intentions and any factors bearing on financial need.

This scholarship is open to women who have been accepted at Peninsula College and are enrolled in a vocational/skills training program, or an undergraduate degree program from which you will be graduating during the upcoming school year.

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS)
WSOS will award 3,000 scholarships to low and medium income students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Application period id March 1st through April 16th, 2012. High school seniors through college seniors who plan to attend colleges and universities in Washington State for the entire 2012-2013 academic year are eligible to apply.

Realize the Dream Scholarship
The College Success Foundation (CSF) is pleased to announce the Realize the Dream Scholarship. This scholarship is available to 2012 Washington State high school graduates who do not qualify for federal and state financial aid programs, but who do qualify for resident student status for state tuition and fees by completing an affidavit approved by House Bill 1079. CSF will select students to receive the Realize the Dream Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year. The maximum scholarship to be awarded for the 2012-13 academic year will be $5,000.

Building our future Student Scholarship
The Building Our Future scholarship is designed to encourage well-qualified and motivated community and technical college students to pursue the academic credentials that would allow them to assume administrative or faculty positions in the Washington state community and technical college system.
Students who graduate from community or technical colleges and then complete their academic requirements for a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree have the potential to be effective administrators and instructors since they have first-hand experience with community and technical colleges. They will bring a special dimension to our campuses and have an allegiance to our mission and goals. They will become role models and provide support to current faculty and staff members, as well as students.
The scholarship of $1,200 is to provide assistance for tuition, books, and related educational expenses. The scholarship is intended to support community or technical college graduates who will continue their academic studies (e.g. junior year) at a baccalaureate institution immediately after completing their Associate in Arts, Associate in Sciences or other transfer degree. The purpose of the scholarship is to actively recruit qualified, motivated students who wish to pursue teaching/administrative careers within the Washington community and technical college system. The Building our Future Scholarship application is due by May 16. Scholarship applications are accepted from member colleges only.

ACUI Women's Leadership Institute Scholarships

Grants for school educators in Clallam County Schools
Grants will be offered to educators currently working in Clallam County schools for professional development not reimbursed by other means. The grants are given in memory of Helen Gariepy, along time educator in the Port Angeles school district and member of Beta Nu Chapter. She left a substantial bequest to the chapter for scholarships to be awarded to students who have graduated from high schools in Clallam County and are in their third or fourth year of study in a college or university.
How to apply:
1. The application must be submitted on the official application form which can be obtained from your local school district office.
2. The following must be included with the application:
- A description or copy of the course material that will be involved in the study.
- Verification of acceptance for the course.
- In the case of qualified work completed in the previous three months, a report of the work done and verification of completion.

The Washington Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation
The Washington Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation provides a focal point for funding and disbursement of educational assistance for engineering education in the state of Washington. Through local control of fund raising and distribution, the Washington State engineering community is able to foster engineering education support to deserving individuals and organizations that best fit local needs. The Foundation specifically encourages engineering education leading to licensure as a registered Professional Engineer, and makes its funding awards with that purpose clearly in mind.
Who is eligible to receive the award?
Students transitioning from a Washington community college into an engineering program in the state of Washington accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board of engineering and Technology.
How much are the awards?
The amount and number of awards will be determined each year by the Foundation. The award will be for not less than $500. Generally, there will be not less than three awards given per year.

City University of Seattle International Student Scholarships
CityU of Seattle has established two scholarship programs for international transfer students, including a Washington State International Student Transfer Scholarship and a Student Ambassador Scholarship.
Washington State International F-1 Student Transfer Scholarship:
City University of Seattle is making available 40 tuition scholarships each year in the amount of $3,000 to F-1 students transferring from a Washington State Community or Technical College in good standing that have no prior application or attendance at CityU. Scholarships in this category are awarded to applicants that are able to demonstrate how earning a CityU degree will impact their future career/life plans; applicant is able to demonstrate involvement in the wider community; and applicant demonstrates satisfactory academic performance.
International F-1 Student Ambassador Scholarship:
City University of Seattle is making available 4 scholarships each year to new transfer F-1 students in good standing that have no prior application with or attendance at CityU. This scholarship includes a one-year, part-time, on campus volunteer/employment position with one free staff benefit class per quarter with an expected time involvement of 50 hours per quarter. Scholarships in this category are awarded to applicants who are new transfer students from a Washington State Community or Technical College; applicant must have the recommendation of Director/Transfer Advisor at applicants college; and applicant must demonstrate increasing leadership roles during high school and college career.

BIAW McKenzie Cowell Scholarship Program
The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) is the voice of the housing industry in Washington with nearly 8,000 member companies, employing over 200,000 workers, making the BIAW the largest trade association in the state. The Boren Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
Amount: Maximum award is $8,000 for a summer, $10,000 for a semester, $20,000 for a full academic year.
Eligibility: All Boren Scholarship applicants must be U.S. citizens, enrolled as undergraduates in U.S. institutions and planning to study less commonly taught languages abroad. Scholars must complete their NSEP-funded programs before graduation.
Loan Repayments and Scholarships for Health Care Professionals and Students in Washington State
The Scholarship program is for students who have completed their prerequisites and are enrolled or accepted into a health program that will lead to licensure in Washington State as a primary care health care provider. The funds are not need-based, nor is the student required to be attending full-time. The following professions are included: Medical Doctor (MD, OD); Physician Assistant; Nurse Practitioner; Nurse (LPN, RN, Nurse Faculty); Dentist; Registered Dental Hygienist; Pharmacist; or Midwife.
The loan repayment program helps pay towards education debt incurred while training to become a primary care health care provider. To be eligible they must become licensed and practice at an eligible site in Washington State for a minimum of three years.
